Subaru All-Electric Vehicles
The Subaru lineup of off-road-ready SUVs includes one pure electric vehicle (EV) option, the Subaru Solterra. The Solterra is a compact SUV with seating for up to five passengers and large rechargeable batteries that provide all the power. You don't need a single drop of gas to enjoy the exceptional capabilities of the Subaru Solterra. With instant torque and excellent acceleration from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, the all-electric powertrain delivers 215 horsepower and up to 227 miles of range on a full charge. Additionally, the Solterra has standard symmetrical all-wheel drive, X-MODE® with Downhill Assist Control, and an enhanced ground clearance of 8.3 inches to wander over rugged terrain easily.

Subaru traditional hybrid vehicles take the legendary capabilities to the next level with a hybrid powertrain that saves gas and boosts performance. New hybrids like the Subaru Forester Hybrid and Crosstrek Hybrid will deliver great off-road capabilities while significantly extending the total driving range. Subaru hybrid vehicles have two electric motors to assist the gas engine with fuel conservation and provide enhanced performance. The battery that runs the electric motors self-charges using regenerative braking technology, so owners don't have to manage charging sessions or provide any other input. Compared to their traditional gas counterparts, the Subaru Forester Hybrid and Crosstrek Hybrid are more powerful and have significantly greater fuel efficiency ratings.
